Amelia ~ a trendy ear-flap hat knitting pattern

New from my winter holiday collection I would like to present . . . . . .

'Amelia'

a trendy ear-flap hat knitting pattern

Amelia ~ inspired by my love of these trendy and functional ear-flap hats. This one features a front flap, fashioned after the trapper hats, offering an ultimate convergence of warmth and style and the versatility of using playful yarns, such as faux fur as an accent

Designed to fit: American Girl Dolls & 18" Gotz Dolls

Knitting Pattern now available

  • Pattern Features:
A textured stitch pattern along with garter stitch is featured throughout, with line-by-line instructions given, along with a Variation: that of working the front flap in a contrast or playful yarns such as faux fur and turning it back on itself, or leave turned down.

  • Experience Level: Beginner-Advanced Beginner
  • Construction: Ear-flaps worked individually, then picked up and worked from the bottom up in one piece, along with the front flap with shaping for the crown. Braided tassels added after completion

Variation: Front flap worked in a solid color and left turned down, as shown by my Gotz model, Katie, above shown turned up and worked in a contrast white faux fur, as Jess is wearing.

Be sure to keep an eye on two more ensembles that make use of this stylish pattern, currently on my needles

  1. I really wish I knew how to knit, you do amazing with your creativity. I used to crochet all the time for the girls, but crochet just does not come out with the patterns and softness of knitting.

Maybe this spring we could meet at Seattle store when we come up, it would be fun to meet a fellow AG'r .. Hugs, TracAn
